Brittny – Manager/Pet Care Specialist

My name is Brittny and I spent most of my childhood growing up in the Malibu canyons. My true love for animals developed when I was just about the age of six and I discovered a feral cat and her litter of kittens right in my own backyard! My Grandma and I raised them, until we eventually found each one a forever home. At the age of twelve I moved to the South Bay, in the city of El Segundo. While growing up with cats, I never had the joy of having a dog…until a beautiful puppy named Charlie unexpectedly came into my life about five years ago. I was also able to find homes for her three siblings as well. That was the moment when I realized that I needed to pursue my passion for helping and caring for animals. During this new discovery, I changed my major and graduated with a BA in Communication Studies at California State University, Northridge. While working towards this degree, I was able to research and voice my opinions on issues surrounding our furry companions and show what beautiful creatures they really are. I am so fortunate to be apart of the Auntie Em’s team, and I am looking forward to sharing my love and dedication with each and every one of your fur-kids!

Matthew – Pet Care Specialist

I was born and raised in Torrance. We have always had animals in my home. As a teenager, I began bringing home   lost and stray dogs that I found. It was a great feeling to see them reunited with their owners! I knew I loved Animals from a young age.  Since high school, I have fostered dogs and cats of all ages. I find myself volunteering for rescues on a regular basis. I guess you can say it is my passion. I have two rescued dogs, Jax & Frankie and two cats, Sam & Mickey all of who I rescued myself. I have been with Auntie Em’s for about 4 years now, and I absolutely love it! I’m loving working for for Auntie Em. She is so caring and dedicated. Definitely an inspiration for me. It’s so nice to help people who really care for their pets as much as I do. Giving these animals the love and attention they need will keep them healthy and happy.

Eva – Pet Care Specialist

My name is Eva and I grew up in Redondo Beach. I began pet sitting 12 years ago helping my friend launch her pet sitting business in the South Bay. I love animals, so a pet sitting and dog walking career is Heaven for me. I have been a member of Auntie Em’s for the past 3 years and I am so incredibly proud what this company stands for. I currently reside in North Torrance with my 2 roommates, my adorable Malti-Chi named Banshee, a Labrador named Diamond and a Labrador-Pincher-Great Dane mix,  Stella. We care and love them all and it shows through their happy tails and smiling faces. I love what I do, it’s the best job in the world!

Lucas – Pet Care Specialist

I’m Lucas (aka Subro)! I grew up in the south of Brazil with my mom, our 15 dogs, two iguanas and a lot of hamsters! I was always surrounded by animals since I can remember and as I grew up I started to study animal behavior and became a dog trainer. I’ve been working training dogs and cats for 5 years and volunteered at some non profit organizations, helping animals to improve their adoptability and aided in rescuing them from the streets. I have two amazing rescued dogs and I couldn’t be more proud of them. Taking care of animals is my favorite thing in the world. My mission is to spread the word of ethical and positive ways to take care of animals and to make them feel truly happy. I’m really glad to work for Auntie Em, a person who shares the same motivation.”Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much”.

Sabrina – Pet Care Specialist

SabrinaMy name is Sabrina, I grew up in Dana Point. When I was little, I spent most of my time in my dad’s beautiful garden where I had found a litter of kittens. My dad and I took responsibility & nurtured those kittens until they were healthy enough to find safe and loving homes for each and every one. Going through this made me feel so good to have done that for helpless animals who were unable to care for themselves. This is when it occurred to me that I loved animals. We would go to shelters to volunteer a couple times a week. We would feed, play and love each and every dog and cat. Over the years I have helped pet sit for friends and family. I look forward to caring for your loved ones, too!

Kirstin – Pet Care Specialist

KirstinHello! My name is Kirstin and I have lived in the South Bay for the last twenty years. Ever since I was a child I have had a deep passion for animals. I grew up with three big German Shepherds and a Golden Retriever and it was in those years that I realized I wanted to care and own dogs for the rest of my life. A house is not a home without a furry friend! Currently, I have a Husky named Misha who has been my best friend and whole life for the last three years. A perfect day off for me is to go on a nice long hike or go to the dog beach with my dog and really exert both of our energies. For the last few years various friends and family member have gone to me when they were in need of a pet sitter. Not only did they know their pet was in good hands but also knew that it wasn’t a chore for me to do so. I have cared for hamsters, dogs, cats, birds, and bunnies. I absolutely love all animals and would have so much fun caring for your furry friends as well!

Colleen – Pet Care Specialist

colleenHi there, my name is Colleen and I would love to tell you a little bit about myself. I was born and raised in Southern California in the beautiful OC. I started to take an interest in animals at a very young age and I knew someday I’d be working with them. Look at me now… my dream has come true! I am so thankful that I grew up with a family that has the same passion as I do for animals. I grew up riding and working with horses. I also work part time as a Vet Tech that love to do! I am really big on rescuing animals as I have 4 of my own. I look forward to working for you and your furry babies in near future.

Natalie – Pet Care Specialist

NatalieMy name is Natalie and I love dogs! Big, small, in-between I do not discriminate. While I currently do not have a dog of my own, I have had several throughout my life including when I was a student at Florida State university and a period of 7 years when I had 3 at once. That was awesome! I have just left a 20 year career in the wine business to find more meaning and passion in my work. That means I have lots of time for your little fur babies. I live in Redondo Beach, am a certified yoga instructor, and volunteer for a few local animal rescue groups. I have also been a dog walker and pet sitter for various friends and family throughout the years. I look forward to a happy, long relationship with you, your pets, and with Auntie Em’s!

Sonya – Pet Care Specialist

Sonya - Pet Care SpecialistHello, my name is Sonya. I grew up in Northern Kentucky in a family whose business and first love is horses. Along with horses, dogs and cats were always a regular part of our family. Since moving to Torrance in 2016 with my husband’s job, I was fortunate enough to have loads of fun as a trail guide for horseback riding in Palos Verdes, until they closed their doors in late 2017. Though most of my animal work history has revolved around horses, I’m super excited to now have an opportunity to care for a wider variety of smaller furry/feathery/fuzzy friends. Can’t wait to meet them!!
