Brittny – Manager/Pet Care Specialist

2-brittny

My name is Brittny and I spent most of my childhood growing up in the Malibu canyons. My true love for animals developed when I was just about the age of six and I discovered a feral cat and her litter of kittens right in my own backyard! My Grandma and I raised them, until we eventually found each one a forever home. At the age of twelve I moved to the South Bay, in the city of El Segundo. While growing up with cats, I never had the joy of having a dog…until a beautiful puppy named Charlie unexpectedly came into my life about five years ago. I was also able to find homes for her three siblings as well. That was the moment when I realized that I needed to pursue my passion for helping and caring for animals. During this new discovery, I changed my major and graduated with a BA in Communication Studies at California State University, Northridge. While working towards this degree, I was able to research and voice my opinions on issues surrounding our furry companions and show what beautiful creatures they really are. I am so fortunate to be apart of the Auntie Em’s team, and I am looking forward to sharing my love and dedication with each and every one of your fur-kids!

I was born and raised in Torrance. We have always had animals in my home. As a teenager, I began bringing home   lost and stray dogs that I found. It was a great feeling to see them reunited with their owners! I knew I loved Animals from a young age.  Since high school, I have fostered dogs and cats of all ages. I find myself volunteering for rescues on a regular basis. I guess you can say it is my passion. I have two rescued dogs, Jax & Frankie and two cats, Sam & Mickey all of who I rescued myself. I have been with Auntie Em’s for about 4 years now, and I absolutely love it! I’m loving working for for Auntie Em. She is so caring and dedicated. Definitely an inspiration for me. It’s so nice to help people who really care for their pets as much as I do. Giving these animals the love and attention they need will keep them healthy and happy.

My name is Eva and I grew up in Redondo Beach. I began pet sitting 12 years ago helping my friend launch her pet sitting business in the South Bay. I love animals, so a pet sitting and dog walking career is Heaven for me. I have been a member of Auntie Em’s for the past 3 years and I am so incredibly proud what this company stands for. I currently reside in North Torrance with my 2 roommates, my adorable Malti-Chi named Banshee, a Labrador named Diamond and a Labrador-Pincher-Great Dane mix,  Stella. We care and love them all and it shows through their happy tails and smiling faces. I love what I do, it’s the best job in the world!

Lucas – Pet Care Specialist

I’m Lucas (aka Subro)! I grew up in the south of Brazil with my mom, our 15 dogs, two iguanas and a lot of hamsters! I was always surrounded by animals since I can remember and as I grew up I started to study animal behavior and became a dog trainer. I’ve been working training dogs and cats for 5 years and volunteered at some non profit organizations, helping animals to improve their adoptability and aided in rescuing them from the streets. I have two amazing rescued dogs and I couldn’t be more proud of them. Taking care of animals is my favorite thing in the world. My mission is to spread the word of ethical and positive ways to take care of animals and to make them feel truly happy. I’m really glad to work for Auntie Em, a person who shares the same motivation.”Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much”.

Kirstin – Pet Care Specialist

KirstinHello! My name is Kirstin and I have lived in the South Bay for the last twenty years. Ever since I was a child I have had a deep passion for animals. I grew up with three big German Shepherds and a Golden Retriever and it was in those years that I realized I wanted to care and own dogs for the rest of my life. A house is not a home without a furry friend! Currently, I have a Husky named Misha who has been my best friend and whole life for the last three years. A perfect day off for me is to go on a nice long hike or go to the dog beach with my dog and really exert both of our energies. For the last few years various friends and family member have gone to me when they were in need of a pet sitter. Not only did they know their pet was in good hands but also knew that it wasn’t a chore for me to do so. I have cared for hamsters, dogs, cats, birds, and bunnies. I absolutely love all animals and would have so much fun caring for your furry friends as well!

Kyle – Pet Care Specialist

kyleHello, my name is Kyle, and I would like to tell you a little bit about my passion for animal care. Growing up on my family’s farm in Southeast Kansas, my three sisters and I took care of our family’s cows, horses, chickens, dogs, cats, pigs and goats. It was our responsibility to feed and water, as well as clean out the stables, and in the case of the dogs and cats, train, bathe, and housebreak. I’ve worked with house cats, feral cats, rescued/abandoned dogs of all ages and sizes, but commonplace dog breeds were labs or lab mixes, Australian shepherds, heelers (red/blue), border collies, and shepherd mixes. In addition to the family farm, I also spent my summer vacations on my grandparent’s ranch, which included all of the animals listed above, just on a much larger scale! During my spring breaks in high school, I also helped my neighbor take care of animals you could consider to be a bit more exotic. He owned and bred large felines (lions, tigers, leopards, lynx, etc), as well as emu, mastiffs, chihuahuas, low rider cats, and several different types of water fowl. So big or small, exotic or family pet, I’ve grown up with animal care being a large part of my daily life and routine. Sadly, my current residence does not allow animals, so I don’t have a furry friend of my own. Auntie Em’s provides me with the opportunity to fill that void I’ve had since moving to Los Angeles, and I look forward to spending quality time with your furry friend!

Jacqueline – Pet Care Specialist

JacquelineHi, my name is Jacqueline and I would like to tell you a bit about myself. I was born and raised in Redondo Beach, California. I can not tell you when my passion for animals started, as it has been present throughout my entire life. As long as I can remember, I have been finding strays and bringing them home, to then either keep them or to find them a forever home. As an adult, I have been working with horses on a professional level and always caring for the barn dogs and cats and whatever other animals needed exercise and TLC. For me, animals are not pets, they are part of your family and without them something is missing!!! I lived in Europe for many years and the mentality there, is that your pet goes everywhere with you, anywhere is pet friendly; restaurants, banks, hotels, and even cafes. I wish it could be like that here. I have a fantastic Lab, Maxi (Funny Face), whom I rescued when he was 8 months old from a family that did not want him and since then he has been apart of my family and has been all over the world with me. When they say that a mans best friend is a dog, Maxi is a perfect example of that. As well as Maxi, I also have a horse, Cheyenne who is turning 25 in May and I got her when she was 6 months old. We have been together her entire life and when I moved back to the South Bay I brought her with me from Europe. Like I said before, animals are your family and they always need to be with their people!!! I would love to help you and care for your four legged friends. I have years of experience with all different types, sizes, shapes, and weights! I would feel privileged to help you, because I truly understand the meaning of love between you and your furry, adorable four legged friends!

Vanna- Pet Care Specialist

VannaMy name is Vanna, and I hail from Upland, CA. I moved to the South Bay area four years ago to be closer to the ocean breeze. At a young age it was quite clear that my love for animals would be a prevailing part of my life. I grew up with Smokey a black lab mix, who we rescued after a mountain lion attack. My family nursed him back to health and he became our most loyal friend. I have since welcomed three dogs, two cats, and a parakeet into my life during my journey. My sweet Tabitha kitty is my four legged friend now. My passion and enjoyment for all animals has lead me here to Auntie Em’s where I get to share an unconditional love and care with you and your furry family. I am always excited to meet new furry and winged friends!

Angie- Pet Care Specialist

AngieMy name is Angie and I couldn’t be more thrilled to join the Auntie Em’s family and spend precious time caring for your beloved fur and feather babies! My lifelong love for animals runs deep and goes without saying, but it has been my continuous gravitation towards rescuing my own dogs (and cats) that has led me on a path of dog training classes and ongoing self-education through countless articles, videos, and books. Having been a Great Dane “mama,” Greyhound “sister,” Rottweiler “aunt,” and, currently, a Black Lab Mix “mama,” I am experienced, confident and comfortable around dog breeds of all sizes. You can trust me to provide the best care for all of your fur and feather babies! When I am not at work, you just might see me in the neighborhood, walking my own energetic pup, Phineas, as we explore all of the favorite dog paths around town.

Crystal and while- Pet Care Specialist

CrystalMy name is Crystal and while I grew up in Florida, I consider myself a California girl. I have been an animal lover all of my life and I’ve had a LOT of different animals from hamsters, bunnies and dogs to chickens, pigs, and horses. I have a particular soft spot for dogs and I often joke that dogs are cooler than people. (I am also that puppy creeper on the street who will stop you and ask to pet your dog.) I have frequently taken care of pets for my neighbors, friends, and acquaintances as well as many nice strangers who trusted me with their fur babies in 2016 when I took on pet-sitting after leaving the corporate world to start my photography business. I recently had to say goodbye to my beloved chihuahua, Lily after spoiling her with love and affection for 13 years and taking care of other people’s animals has been helpful in filling the void. I definitely know what it means to love a pet and I will take care of yours the way I took care of my own baby girl so you don’t have to worry about a thing.
