About Auntie Em

Emery Family

My name is Emery, and I was born and raised in Southern California. I have a beautiful baby girl named Ireland. Our three dogs (fur kids) Olive and Biggie and Winter are our babies!

I grew up with my mother, bringing home strays and injured animals. She would nurse them back to health, and once healthy, we would find them good homes. As an adult, I would go to local animal shelters, helping as many animals as I could on my own. I started out finding homes for them one at a time and networking with animal advocates like myself.

I currently volunteer for a couple of local rescues and network with homeless dogs and cats through Social Media. I also volunteer for my mother’s organization The Mckee Project, which is a Spay Neuter program. Working with animals is my true passion. I am very happy to hang out with animals all day long, I love it!

I have been pet sitting for friends and family for as long as I can remember, and officially made it a business in 1999, the year Auntie Em’s became a business. My workflow started to increase steadily due to referrals, so I decided to hire staff in 2010. We have an amazing team that I trust with my own fur kids, and that says a lot!

My goal is that you feel as comfortable as possible with us taking care of your loved one. No pet sitting job is too big or too small!
